Lima Memorial is a Certified Level II Trauma Center

Lima Memorial is recognized by the American College of Surgeons as a certified Level II Trauma Center. Lima Memorial Trauma Center is staffed 24-hours-a-day by trauma surgeons, specially trained nurses
and support staff who provide immediate, lifesaving treatment for critically injured patients. When a patient arrives, the team has immediate access to specialists and around-the-clock support equipment.
At the forefront of emergency and critical care, Dr. Jeremy Heffner is the Medical Director of Lima Memorial’s Trauma Program. He and the other highly trained trauma surgeons, physicians and staff are
exceptional leaders in providing the most advanced and efficient critical care.

Community Outreach: Injury Prevention and Education

Lima Memorial Trauma Services is a leader in trauma, critical care and injury prevention efforts throughout the community. Every year, we offer adult and child bicycle and helmet safety fairs, as well as water safety programs. We also participate in children’s health fairs and educational programs about fall prevention, distracted driving, motorcycle, ATV safety and sports-related injuries.
