Volunteering at Lima Memorial

Volunteering at Lima Memorial

Help support the Lima community by volunteering.

More than 300 auxiliary volunteers provide services to various departments and programs at Lima Memorial Health System. They provide assistance to patients, families, visitors, and staff. In fact, volunteers serve in every area of the hospital including the gift shop, snack cafe carts and mail and flower delivery. Volunteers donate more than 80,000 hours of their time each year and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Volunteers can be as young as 14 years old. Many Volunteens (high school - college) assist with transporting patients, and in the storeroom, pharmacy and nursing units.

Pet Therapy Volunteers visit patient care areas with their pets. All pets are certified through Pet Partners’ Therapy Animal Program.

Depending on availability, volunteers have the opportunity to assist in many areas of Lima Memorial Health System. Any position is guaranteed to bring a smile to your day.
