Scholarships Awarded to Local Students

Each year, the Lima Memorial Auxiliary and Lima Memorial School of Nursing Alumnae award scholarships to deserving, local students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field. These outstanding students will ultimately make a difference in many lives through their chosen profession. Grace Earl and Zachary Lape are receiving the Lima Memorial Auxiliary Scholarships.The Lima Memorial School of Nursing Alumnae is awarding scholarships to Sanjana Rajasekaran and Autumn Thompson. In addition, the Lima Memorial Auxiliary is giving a Volunteen Scholarship to a graduating senior volunteen.

Grace Earl is a graduate of Elida High School and will attend the University of Kentucky in the fall. Earl is the daughter of Joseph and Jen Earl. Zachary Lape is a graduate of Van Wert High School and will attend the University of Toledo in the fall. Lape is the son of Jeffery Lape and Crystal Huston. Sanjana Rajasekaran is a graduate of Shawnee High School and will attend the University of Michigan in the fall. Sanjana is the daughter of Suresh Rajasekaren and Sasikala Shanmugan. Autumn is a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and will attend the University of Toledo in the fall. Thompson is the daughter of Patrick Thompson and Sarah Thompson.

Madison Wiseman is being awarded the distinguished 2019 Volunteen Scholarship. Wiseman is the daughter of Steve and Pam Wiseman and is a graduate of Columbus Grove High School. Since becoming a volunteen in 2016, she has volunteered more than 200 hours of her time to the health system. She will attend Ohio Northern University in the fall.   

The Lima Memorial Auxiliary will also be recognizing its Volunteen of the Year. In addition to receiving the Nursing Alumnae Scholarship, Sanjana Rajasekaran, will be honored as Volunteen of the Year. She has been a volunteen since 2015 and has volunteered more than 140 hours.
