Scholarships Awarded to Local Students Pursuing Medical Careers

Each year, the Lima Memorial Auxiliary awards scholarships to deserving, local students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field. These outstanding students will ultimately make a difference in many lives through their chosen profession.

Allie Honigford and Ryan Utendorf will receive a $1,500 Lima Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship. Allie is a graduate of Ottoville High School who will be attending Ohio Northern University to study pharmacy. Ryan is a graduate of Lima Senior High School who will study biomedical science at Xavier University with the goal of becoming a physician.

Additionally, volunteen Kylie Shafer will be awarded the $2,000 Volunteen Scholarship. Kylie is a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and will study occupational therapy at Rhodes State College. Kylie volunteered with Lima Memorial as a phlebotomy and radiology receptionist in 2018 and 2019.
