Each year, the Lima Memorial Auxiliary and LMH School of Nursing Alumnae Association award scholarships to local students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field. Seven outstanding students will be recognized this year and awarded scholarships at the Lima Memorial Auxiliary Summer General Meeting on Wednesday, June 11. These outstanding students will ultimately make a difference in many lives through their chosen healthcare profession.
Olivia Meyer of Kalida High School, Laney Hedrick of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and Miley Russell of Pandora–Gilboa High School will receive $2,000 scholarships from the Lima Memorial Auxiliary.
Additionally, the Auxiliary will award a $2,000 scholarship in memory of longtime Scholarship Committee Chair Bonnie Shook to Gabriel Hile of Shawnee High School and Apollo Career Center. This scholarship is awarded to a teen volunteer who provided exemplary volunteer service to the health system in 2024.
Kennedy Fuka of Ottawa-Glandorf High School, Morgan Hoersten of Ottoville High School and Grace Meyer of Delphos St. John’s will each receive a $4,000 scholarship from the Lima Memorial Nursing Alumnae Association.
