Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in breast ultrasound and biopsy by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®). This recognition reflects the facility’s continued commitment to providing the highest standards in medical imaging and patient care.
Breast ultrasound is a critical diagnostic tool used to capture real-time images of the internal structures of the breast. This non-invasive procedure helps physicians detect, diagnose and better understand a wide range of medical conditions.
The ACR gold seal of accreditation is recognized as the highest level of achievement in medical imaging. It is awarded only to facilities that meet rigorous standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, equipment, quality control and assurance protocols. Accreditation is granted following a comprehensive peer-review evaluation conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists with expertise in the field.
“At the heart of everything we do is a deep desire to help people feel cared for,” shared Dr. Darlene Weyer, Medical Director of Lima Memorial Women’s Health Center. “This accreditation isn’t just about technology—it’s about trust. And we are honored our patients can count on us to walk beside them with skill and compassion.”
This milestone supports Lima Memorial’s ongoing mission to deliver advanced diagnostic services close to home, ensuring patients have access to leading-edge technology and compassionate care throughout their health journey.
