Raises Awareness of the Risks of Drowsy Driving
In today’s fast-paced society, Americans are sacrificing sleep, which too often leads to tragic consequences on our roadways. Research shows more than 83 million sleep-deprived Americans are driving drowsy every day. This has led to an estimated 5,000 lives that were lost in drowsy driving-related crashes last year alone.
In an effort to raise awareness as to the dangers of drowsy driving, the Lima Memorial Sleep Center is teaming up with Lima BIGGBY® Coffee to provide drivers with a cup of java and important information that could save their life while on the road. Wake Up Your Wednesday will take place on November 16, from 7 - 9 a.m. Customers of both Lima BIGGBY® locations, east and west, will receive a free cup of regular coffee and information about the signs of sleepiness while driving.
