Lima Memorial’s ExploringTM Program will continue to immerse local high school seniors in the world of health care careers this Friday, October 27, at Lima Memorial Health System’s main campus. This will be an informative, hands-on day focused on neurosurgery and foot and ankle surgery.

Students attending this career exploration day will join Dr. Eric Miller of Lima Memorial Health System Foot & Ankle for hands-on plate and screw application for bone models and learn from Jonathan Eaton, PA-C and Mary Anderson, PA-C of Lima Memorial Health System Spine, Neurosurgery & Pain Management using suture kit and spine model activities. A trauma scenario will also be led by Courtney Hoover, PA-C.

“I am excited to help these students as they explore their career interests,” shares Dr. Eric Miller. “Sharing information about my profession and helping our youth navigate whether or not they would enjoy a career in health care is a truly valuable opportunity for all involved.”

The ExploringTM Program at LMHS exists to teach important life and health care career skills to high school seniors from all backgrounds through immersive career experiences and mentorship provided by the Lima Memorial team. The result is a program of interactive activities that helps youth grow, develop and pursue their special interests in health care.
