In celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lima Memorial Health System will host the 22nd Annual Hope Garden Ceremony on Thursday, October 18. Breast cancer survivors, family and friends are invited to gather at the Lima Memorial Medical Park on Eastown Road at noon for this celebration of life and survivorship.

Jedidiah Brake, Lima Memorial Health System Chaplain, will be featured as the ceremony’s guest speaker, which will culminate with a presentation of a special Hope Garden statue donation. Guests will enjoy a dove release, garden art and an inspirational song provided by Stephanie Reindel, Registered Ultrasonographer and Breast Patient Navigator. Light refreshments will also be provided.

“Our Hope Garden Celebration signifies a restoration of courage, faith and hope to everyone who has been touched by breast cancer,” said Dr. Darlene Weyer, Medical Director of Lima Memorial’s Women’s Health Center. “Throughout all phases of the breast cancer journey, it is important to maintain a positive attitude. This event serves as a celebration of life for survivors, their family and friends and a remembrance to those who have gone on before us.”
