On Thursday, April 4, the Lima Memorial Foundation will host Ovation at the Lima Memorial Health System Medical Park on Eastown Road. This special event honors individuals and businesses who believe in and are committed to advancing the health of our community through philanthropic gifts to the Foundation.

The highlight of the evening will be a special tribute to Dr. C. Lynn Thompson, Lima Memorial’s first Vice President of Medical Affairs. Dr. Thompson will be recognized for his unwavering commitment to Lima Memorial Health System and our community. Through his roles as a caring physician, impactful leader, selfless mentor and genuine friend, Dr. Thompson has left an enduring legacy that resonates deeply within our organization and beyond.

“Dr. Thompson has made an incredible impact on the health and well-being of our community,” shared LaShae Burwell, Director of the Lima Memorial Foundation. “We are extremely honored to recognize his legacy and all those who will be achieving significant giving milestones during this year’s Ovation event.”

Cumulative levels of giving ranging from $25,000 to $1,000,000 will be recognized at the event. In addition to these very distinguished awards, the Foundation will present the Ambassador of the Year Award to an individual who exemplified selfless and enthusiastic volunteerism in support of the Lima Memorial Foundation in 2023 and the Infinity Award to an individual for displaying a boundless commitment to Lima Memorial. The Foundation will also recognize Lima Memorial associates who make the SPIRIT or LEADERSHIP pledge for Living the Spirit, an LMHS associate-driven giving campaign.

10 individuals and businesses will be recognized with the Alice Henderson Award for contributions cumulatively reaching $25,000. Additionally, seven individuals and businesses will receive the distinguished Chairman Award for their lifetime contributions exceeding $100,000. The Cora Davies Award will go to two recipients for their outstanding philanthropic commitment to Lima Memorial, with cumulative contributions reaching the impressive $250,000 level. Finally, the Emerald Award will be presented to those being recognized for contributions of $1 million or more to the Foundation.

"I am incredibly grateful for our donor community whose unwavering support uplifts our community’s health and well-being,” shared Jan Hawk, Chair of the Lima Memorial Foundation Board of Trustees. “Being a part of the Foundation is a privilege beyond measure, and I am honored to be celebrating these wonderful individuals and businesses.”
