Lima Memorial Health System nurses voted to ratify a three-year contract between Lima Memorial Health System and the Lima Memorial Professional Nurses Association (LMPNA). The contract becomes effective November 1, 2023, through October 31, 2026.

“We are pleased our nurses voted in favor of ratification,” said Mike Swick, President and CEO of Lima Memorial Health System. “The negotiating teams demonstrated strong collaboration to reach an agreement that benefits our nurses and the health system as a whole. We applaud our nurses for their outstanding patient care and dedication to our patients and their families.”

The ratified contract achieves the parties’ common goals of maintaining market-competitive wages and benefits and improving quality of life to retain and recruit top-talented nurses.

“We worked very hard over the last couple of months to ensure a fair contract that benefits our members,” stated Jill Burd, RN, President of the Lima Memorial Professional Nurses Association. “We worked hard to make sure our focus remained on creating a contract that would benefit our members in the areas of wages and insurance, and we are pleased to say we created that.”

Ann Pohl, RN, Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Clinical Officer at Lima Memorial, also said, “You won’t find more skilled and compassionate nurses anywhere than those at Lima Memorial Health System. We are grateful we could work as one team to achieve this agreement, which focuses our efforts on the continued delivery of excellence in patient care while retaining and recruiting the very best nursing professionals in the region.”
