Lima Memorial Associates Unite for National Wear Red Day

Lima Memorial Associates Unite for National Wear Red Day

posted on: 1/25/2024 6:22:07 PM

Lima Memorial Health System associates will join together and proudly wear red for National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 2, to raise awareness about women’s greatest health threat—cardiovascular disease and stroke. National Wear Red Day encourages everyone to wear red in support of a healthier future for the women in our lives and women nationwide.

According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease stands as the primary cause of death for women in the U.S., accounting for one in three fatalities annually. For Lima Memorial, National Wear Red Day is an impactful way to show commitment to heart health and the prevention of heart disease and stroke.

“We have an unwavering dedication to our community’s heart health and care,” shares Dr. Pamela Gardner, Lima Memorial Health System Cardiologist. “By wearing our red, we hope to spark those important conversations surrounding heart disease and stroke prevention, such as establishing heart-healthy habits and knowing your risk for these conditions.”

Lima Memorial invites the community to join in this awareness campaign by wearing red on Friday, February 2. For more information on the Lima Memorial Health System Heart & Vascular Institute, please visit https://bit.ly/48GnDVn.
