CaringBridge

A Personal Health Website to Help Share Updates

Lima Memorial Health System is pleased to connect patients, their families and their friends in a network of caring by creating personal CaringBridge websites.

If you, or a loved one, is experiencing a health crisis, treatment or recovery, sharing information and staying connected with loved ones is important. CaringBridge personal health websites help establish and maintain a comforting, personal connection with those closest to you.
The service can become a critical lifeline for both the patient and visitors to the site, easing the burden of communication through convenient, 24/7 access. Patients can chronicle their journey and stay in touch with friends and family outside of the hospital. A patient’s virtual visitors can offer much-needed encouragement and support.
CaringBridge is family-centered and easy to set up and use, offering
patients and their families many ways to communicate:
  • “My Story” – Tell visitors to the site why it was created
  • “Journal” – Provide visitors with regular updates
  • “Photos” – Share pictures with loved ones
  • “Guestbook” – Post messages of love, support and encouragement
  • “Links” – Provide visitors with additional information on the web
CaringBridge is funded by individual contributions and through partnerships with hospitals and healthcare organizations. It is the most widely used online compassion technology service of its kind. Every state in the U.S. and 6% of the population across the globe are connected to CaringBridge.
