Students interested in healthcare careers will have a unique opportunity to explore neurosurgery and trauma medicine with Lima Memorial’s upcoming Healthcare Career Explorer Program Physician’s Night on March 18, 2026, at the LMHS Main Campus.
This special session will feature a Neuro / Trauma collaboration led by Dr. Jeffrey Lobel, Neurosurgeon, Jonathan Eaton, PA-C and Dr. Brandon Colvin, Trauma Director and General Surgeon. Students will participate in a guided dissection of a pig brain while learning about brain anatomy, neurological function and the impact of traumatic brain injuries.
The hands-on experience is designed to deepen understanding of how brain injuries occur, how they are treated and how multidisciplinary teams work together to provide emergency and specialized care. Providers will also be available to answer questions and discuss career pathways in medicine, neurosurgery, trauma care and related fields.
“This truly gives students a chance to hear directly from the providers who do this work every day,” said Dr. Jeffrey Lobel. “This collaboration allows us to show students what modern brain care looks like and hopefully spark their interest in pursuing a future in the field.”
The event will begin with registration at 6:15 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m. Students interested in attending can reserve a spot by registering here: https://bit.ly/3PEw3I9.
