Lima Memorial Foundation Honors CEO Mike Swick and Local Philanthropic Leaders

On Thursday, April 16, the Lima Memorial Foundation will host Ovation in Lima Memorial’s Welcome Center at 1001 Bellefontaine Ave. This special evening celebrates the unwavering generosity of individuals and businesses committed to advancing the health of our community through philanthropic gifts to the Lima Memorial Foundation. 

The Lima Memorial Foundation will recognize the generosity of more than 15 individuals and businesses through distinguished honors, including the Alice Henderson Award ($25,000+), Chairman Award ($100,000+) and Frank E. Baxter Society for 15 consecutive years of giving.  

In addition to these very distinguished awards, the Foundation will recognize an individual with the Infinity Award for demonstrating exceptional commitment to Lima Memorial and the Ambassador of the Year Award for outstanding volunteerism. Associates making the SPIRIT or Leadership pledge for the Living the Spirit campaign will also be celebrated.  

“There is something special about seeing our community come together to support one another,” shared Jan Hawk, Chair of the Lima Memorial Foundation Board of Trustees. “Our donors’ generosity brings hope, strengthens our mission and reminds us of the power of giving.” 

The highlight of the evening will be a special recognition of Mike Swick, CEO of Lima Memorial Health System. For more than 25 years, Mike has led Lima Memorial with a servant’s heart and deep commitment to the community that raised him. Mike will be honored for his roles as a leader, visionary, collaborator, mentor and family man, all of which have helped shape Lima Memorial and the patients and families he has been privileged to serve. 

“Mike’s leadership has played a defining role in shaping Lima Memorial’s growth and the care we provide to our community,” shared LaShae Burwell, Director of the Lima Memorial Foundation. “His vision has guided meaningful expansion while strengthening the compassionate, high-quality care our patients depend on every day. We are honored to celebrate his legacy.” 

The Lima Memorial Foundation has a distinguished history of bringing healthcare advancements to our region. In recent years, with the support of the community, the Foundation contributed the funds needed for advanced open-MRI technology, next-generation diagnostic sleep technology, integrated cardiac stress testing equipment and much more.
