Lima Memorial utilizes the most advanced diagnostic technology available today to detect many types of cancer earlier and with more accuracy. This can lead to earlier treatment, increasing the likelihood of positive outcomes.

The Lima Memorial Cancer Institute proudly collaborates with the Lima Memorial Women's Health Center to promote regular mammograms, especially for those at increased risk for breast cancer. Thanks to a generous grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, we are able to provide free mammograms to uninsured or underinsured women and men in our community.

EON is an AI-powered platform helping our team detect and manage potential cancers earlier and more effectively. By identifying incidental findings, especially in lung scans, EON ensures timely follow-up, closes critical care gaps and supports early diagnosis when it matters most.
Another key tool in our arsenal of advanced cancer diagnostics is the Automated Breast Ultrasound System (ABUS) 2.0, which provides 3D imaging designed to detect breast cancer in dense breast tissue. ABUS 2.0 enhances the sensitivity of traditional mammography and helps our team uncover hard-to-see abnormalities.
Additionally, Lima Memorial was the first health system to offer Second Look, advanced PET/CT technology that creates a 3D map showing the exact location, nature and extent of cancerous tumors—revolutionizing cancer diagnostics.
