Lima Memorial Laces Up for Second Annual Milestones in Motion 5K Run & Walk

Lima Memorial Health System is excited to announce the return of its Milestones in Motion 5K Run & Walk, now in its second year. This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 31, at Lima Memorial’s main campus, bringing together participants of all ages in support of health, wellness and the Lima Memorial Foundation Samaritan Fund.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see this event grow into an annual celebration,” shares Sam Schroeder, LMHS Lab Director and 5K Host. “It’s exciting to continue this tradition and invite the community to come together to support wellness and one another.”
Following the success of last year’s inaugural run in celebration of Lima Memorial’s 125th anniversary, the 5K will continue as an annual tradition that honors Lima Memorial’s legacy while looking to the future. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Lima Memorial Foundation Samaritan Fund, which provides critical assistance to patients facing barriers to recovery—such as access to medication, transportation and clothing—following a hospital stay.
“This event is a powerful way to give back to our community,” adds Mitchel Hoying, Case Management Director and Samaritan Fund supporter. “Every step taken helps remove a barrier for someone in need. It’s a reminder of the compassion that defines the Lima Memorial Family and community.”

- Race starts at 9 a.m.
Entry Fees:
- $15 for LMHS associates and family members
- $20 for the public
- Free for children 12 and under
