Lima Memorial Goes Red for Women’s Heart Health

Lima Memorial Goes Red for Women’s Heart Health

On Friday, February 6, Lima Memorial Health System providers, associates and volunteers will proudly wear red in honor of National Wear Red Day, a part of American Heart Month, to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and stroke—the leading threat to women. This annual event encourages everyone to wear red in support of a healthier future for the women in our lives and women nationwide.

According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease claims the lives of one in three women annually in the U.S. Despite its impact, many women remain unaware of their risk. For Lima Memorial, National Wear Red Day serves as a powerful reminder of the steps we can all take to protect and improve women’s heart health.

“Wearing red helps open the door to important conversations about heart health,” said Dr. Pamela Gardner, cardiologist at Lima Memorial Health System. “Our goal is to make sure women feel confident seeking the care they need, right here with a team they know and trust.”

The Heart & Vascular Institute at Lima Memorial is proud to have the longest tenured cardiology team in the region, bringing decades of experience, strong patient relationships and a genuine commitment to caring for our community. Backed by advanced cardiac technology and comprehensive programs, the heart team provides a high level of care for every stage of heart health, from prevention and early detection to advanced treatment and recovery.
