Lima Memorial Health System will host its next Explorer Program session on Friday, January 30, at Lima Memorial’s main campus, giving local students a hands-on look at high-impact healthcare careers in Obstetrics (OB), Trauma and Respiratory Care.
Lima Memorial’s Exploring Program offers students real-world healthcare experiences and leadership opportunities, helping them discover career paths and prepare for futures in medicine and allied health fields.
The session will feature interactive stations in the Lima Memorial Family Birth Center, Trauma Services and Respiratory Therapy, where students can learn directly from medical professionals working on the front lines of patient care.
At the OB station, students will explore careers in maternal and newborn care, gaining insight into how nurses and providers support patients through labor, delivery and postpartum recovery.
In the Trauma station, students will learn how emergency and trauma teams respond to critical situations, including how rapid assessment, teamwork and advanced technology save lives.
With Lima Memorial’s Respiratory Therapy team, students will see how respiratory therapists support patients with breathing disorders and life-threatening conditions, from ventilator management to critical care support.
Students interested in participating in this session or any future sessions can sign up here.
