Lima Memorial Enhances Diagnostic Imaging with High-Field Open MRI

Lima Memorial Health System has enhanced its diagnostic imaging services with Fujifilm’s Oasis Velocity High-Field Open Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging system.Thanks to the generosity of Lima Memorial Foundation supporters, an investment of $750,000 was made to enhance Lima Memorial’s MRI technology, ensuring patients have access to state-of-the-art care close to home. 

The Oasis Velocity system is designed to enhance patient comfort while providing advanced imaging capabilities. Its open design offers a 270˚ unobstructed view, helping to reduce anxiety and claustrophobia while allowing patients to have a loved one nearby during exams.

Velocity combines exceptional patient comfort with powerful technology and a speedy workstation, reducing scan time and making exams smoother and more efficient. This technology is further enhanced by anatomically specific MRI receiver 1.2 Tesla coils, which can provide detailed images of blood vessels, bones and joints and women’s health exams.
