In celebration of National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, the Lima Memorial Foundation Emerging Philanthropists, in partnership with Faith Christian Church, are turning a simple sandwich into a big impact on children experiencing food insecurity.

On Thursday, April 2, the Emerging Philanthropists will come together at Lima Memorial Health System to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for children in need. Supplies are provided through Faith Christian Church’s Spread the Love program, which helps ensure the meals reach kids throughout the community.

The Emerging Philanthropists group at Lima Memorial Health System engages the next generation of community leaders in service, philanthropy and advocacy efforts that support the health and well-being of the region.

“This is our second time partnering with Faith Christian Church, and it’s inspiring to build on the momentum from our previous lunch and learn collaboration,” shared Ann Welly, President of All Service Glass and Emerging Philanthropists Chair. “By volunteering to prepare these sandwiches, we are not only meeting an immediate need for children, but also fostering a spirit of generosity and compassion that touches everyone involved.”
