Lima Memorial Earns Reaccreditation as ACC Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has recognized Lima Memorial Health System for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain. Lima Memorial has earned ACC Chest Pain Center Reaccreditation with Primary PCI, following a rigorous onsite evaluation of its ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients experiencing heart attack symptoms.

Hospitals receiving this accreditation have proven exceptional competency in treating patients experiencing a heart attack, offering primary PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) 24/7, every day of the year. This non-surgical procedure uses a balloon to open narrowed or blocked coronary arteries, restoring blood flow and reducing heart damage.
