The Lima Memorial Health System family has come together once again in the spirit of Great Care, adopting 59 local senior citizens to brighten their holiday season.
“Our associates’ kindness makes a real difference in the lives of local seniors," said Jessica Eutsler, Volunteer & Gift Shop Coordinator at LMHS. "Through our partnership with the Area Agency on Aging 3, we’re able to bring a little extra comfort and holiday cheer to those who need it most.”
For more than 15 years, Lima Memorial has partnered with the Area Agency on Aging 3 to host a Senior Angel Tree, extending its care and compassion beyond the hospital walls. Many seniors living on limited means and without family support include basic necessities on their holiday wish lists, such as hygiene products, cleaning supplies, pet treats and grocery gift cards. This program ensures their needs are met and their holidays are filled with warmth and kindness.
On Tuesday, December 9, at 10 a.m., hundreds of gifts will be loaded into Clymer Medical Transport vehicles by members of the Lima Memorial Executive and Leadership teams at the entrance of Lima Memorial’s Welcome Center. This act of giving showcases the commitment of Lima Memorial to not only deliver exceptional care but also uplift the community it serves.
