Lima Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR STUDENTS ENTERING A HEALTH-RELATED CAREER PROGRAM
The Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to award two $2,000 scholarships to eligible students entering a health-related career program. In addition, two $4,000 scholarships will also be awarded by the L.M.H. School of Nursing Alumnae Association to individuals enrolled in or planning to enter the nursing field.
The purpose of these awards is to support students who genuinely wish to pursue, or are already pursuing, a career in health care. Eligible applicants should broadly represent the community served by the hospital. Selection will be based on academic performance, demonstrated interest in a health-related career and personal interview findings.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Attendance at the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary General Meeting Luncheon on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, is highly encouraged.
Recipients may accept scholarships from other sources. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipients chosen college and made co-payable to the college and the student. If a recipient terminates their education, they are expected to consider repayment a moral obligation, except in cases of extenuating circumstances beyond their control.
Applicants are asked to provide detailed and complete responses to all questions in the student portion of the application. A drop box is included at the end of the application to upload transcripts and other supporting documentation. After submission, the listed Guidance Counselor or Educator will be contacted to complete an Educator’s Report.
The Scholarship Committee will meet in April to select recipients, who will be notified in May.
