At Lima Memorial, our ER wait times average less than 30 minutes. We also have board-certified emergency medicine physicians on staff 24 hours and one of the only certified traumatologists in the area.
From small cuts to major accidents to acute illnesses, Lima Memorial Emergency Center is ready for you 24-hours-a-day to deliver quality health care. You’ll find a board-certified emergency physician on the floor around the clock, seven days a week. You get care from the most experienced registered ER nurses in the region, with an average of 15 years of emergency care, all certified in trauma, pediatrics and heart care. And we’ve doubled the number of providers during peak periods to make sure you are treated as quickly as possible.
If your emergency doesn’t require major medical procedures or tests, the Fast Track area in the Emergency Center cares for less serious injuries and illnesses, with its own dedicated team. In most cases, Fast Track patients are in and out in less than 90 minutes. Fast Track is open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
For the most acute emergencies, we turn to our Level II trauma center, where our Emergency Center physicians have 24-hour-a-day access to specialists on-call throughout the hospital.
When a heart attack strikes, time is critical. The Lima Memorial Emergency Center staff stabilizes heart attack patients and gets them into our cardiac catheterization unit fast. After all, time is muscle. The Emergency Center is also the access point to Lima Memorial Chest Pain Center, where patients suffering chest pain receive specialized care as quickly as possible. Lima Memorial is among the 1% of hospitals in the nation to earn Cycle IV accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers – the highest accreditation possible.
