Surgical Oncology Treatment Options
The surgical oncology specialty focuses on the surgical management of all types of cancerous tumors, both malignant and benign. This includes the removal of tumors, which is done in a minimally invasive manner.
Following National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines, the surgical oncologist takes special care to preserve healthy tissue without compromising treatment effectiveness.
