Lima Memorial celebrated its remarkable team of volunteers at the annual Volunteer Recognition & Awards Banquet on Friday, April 26, at the Lima VFW Hall. This annual event during National Volunteer Week is a heartfelt celebration that recognizes volunteers who dedicate themselves to Lima Memorial, its patients and our community.

More than 80 awards were given to 64 volunteers beginning at 250 hours of service. Notably, volunteers Pat Bucher, Elaine Fisher and Pat Harrod were honored for achieving the remarkable milestone of 21,000 hours or more of service.

National Volunteer Week provides us a special opportunity to honor volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to the health system throughout the year. Last year, volunteers dedicated an astounding 38,000 hours of service. Lima Memorial currently has more than 120 active volunteers in various hospital departments.
