Wound Care Center

Wound Care Center

Lima Memorial Wound Care Center helps patients who are experiencing difficulty with wounds healing. Our physicians and nurses are specifically trained in wound care treatment and management to work with patients and help heal their wounds as quickly as possible.

Proper wound care treatment and management involves diagnosing the possible cause of slow healing, addressing health problems that may affect healing, and working directly with the patient to provide wound care instruction and education to prevent recurrence.

Wound Care Treatment

During your first visit, the Wound Care staff will evaluate your wounds and identify the appropriate treatment. The Wound Care Center uses the most advanced wound care products, and our staff receives continuous education on advances in wound care products and treatment procedures.

Methods of Wound Care Treatment

  • Compression therapy to help control swelling and allow leg wounds to close
  • The removal of dead, damaged or infected tissue (often called debridement) to improve healing of healthy tissue
  • Pressure relief to assist blood flow, reduce trauma and accelerate healing
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy to deliver more oxygen to body tissue, which helps the body heal wounds and fight infection
