The Cardiology Department of the Heart Center at Lima Memorial is committed to providing the highest quality cardiovascular care and research. The Division includes multiple units ranging from critical care to outpatient procedures. Services include Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Stent placement, Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators, Echocardiography, Electrophysiology, Stress Testing and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Other services include general cardiology clinics and specialized clinics devoted to congestive heart failure, ICD and pacemaker management, smoking cessation, and preventive and rehabilitation services.
The Cardiology Department, in conjunction with the Emergency Department, has led the efforts to become one of the first in the nation to receive accreditation for Lima Memorial’s Chest Pain Center. This commitment of providing the ultimate care to those suffering heart attacks within the community has resulted in the ultimate reward – lives are being saved and the patients are going home to their families.
