Lima Memorial’s new, larger cath labs now feature the Philips Allura Xper FD20. The Philips Allura Xper FD20 imaging system is a complete cardiovascular X-ray lab used in a full range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The system features a ceiling mounted c-arm, high resolution LCD monitors, a cardiovascular table and a viewing console.
The Allura Xper FD20 is able to provide the most appropriate image quality for all clinical applications at the lowest possible X-ray dose.
The equipment can be used in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures for the entire body. Typical procedures include: diagnostic angiograms, angioplasty and stent placement. Cardiac catheterization procedures are typically performed by Interventional Cardiologists – sub-specialists within cardiology with special training in catheter-based diagnostic and interventional procedures.
At Lima Memorial, all invasive procedures are performed by cardiologists who confer directly with the referring physician. Our goal is to diagnose potential risks, and if needed, clear blockages with the least invasive procedure and the latest technology possible using drug coated stents, angioplasties or radiation.
