A Journey to Remember

The Lima Memorial Hospital Foundation's annual "A Journey to Remember" gala is just one example of The Women's Health Advisory Committee's accomplishments in the name of women's health. The committee plans, coordinates, implements, and markets all aspects of events such as this.

The 2nd annual "A Journey to Remember" was held at the Lazarus-Macy's store in Lima on October 9, 2003. The evening began at 6:30 p.m. on the 1st floor with hors d'oeuvres and entertainment by the Brass Roots and Swing 2000. Upon arrival, guests' pictures were taken by Michael Ayers, with prints given to the guests before the evening's close. Guests then moved to the third floor for dinner prepared by Lazarus local and corporate chefs and a silent auction.

$27,000 was raised at this year's "A Journey to Remember." The funds raised will benefit Lima Memorial Hospital's Women's Health Center, assisting with the purchase of upgrades in technology to Lima Memorial's breast ultra sound unit and stereotactic breast biopsy table. The modernization of these units will result in less procedure time for LMHS patients.
