Why We Are Here:
To Improve the Quality of Life in Our Communities

Our commitment to improving the quality of life in our communities goes beyond the walls of our facilities. Each year, Lima Memorial staff invests thousands of hours outside of the Health System through our many community outreach efforts.

We also dedicate millions of dollars in resources to support other non-profit programs and organizations that work to make the region a healthier place to live. These programs range from our own Kids Clinic that helps sexually abused children to providing scholarships to individuals who want to go into the health care field.

As a non-profit organization, we believe that everyone has the right to have access to the highest quality of care, regardless of his or her ability to pay. Because of this, Lima Memorial provides more than $5 million in charity care to the underprivileged each year.

Our 2007 Report to Community puts a person behind all of these numbers. You have neighbors who work here (we are the second largest employer in town). Possibly, you visited our Medical Park for a Mammogram. Maybe your children were born here. And because of our commitment to advanced technology and high quality care, perhaps a loved one’s life has been saved here.
