Lima Memorial's Speech Therapy Department provides speech/language evaluations and therapy for children and adults. The department includes a caring staff of licensed professionals including Speech2speech-language pathologists.

Modified Barium Swallow Studies
This testing is used to assess swallow function and to detect problems such as aspiration.

Oral Motor/Feeding & Dysphagia Evaluations and Therapy
Assists clients with feeding and nutrition issues including motor and sensory based difficulties.

Aphasia Evaluation and Therapy
Assists clients in the improvement of language disorders due to brain damage.

Cognitive Evaluation and Therapy
Cognitive evaluation and therapy services work to assess brain function and make improvements in designated areas.

Aural Rehabilitation
Helps adults and children with hearing loss attain language acquisition and speech articulation improvements.

Voice Evaluation and Therapy
Assists in improving or alleviating disturbance of pitch, loudness or voice quality.

Auditory Processing Evaluation and Therapy including the Earobics Program
A formal hearing test will determine the patient's need, and various strategies will be used to improve processing of auditory information.

Fluency Evaluation and Therapy
Assists patients to overcome stuttering and fluency difficulties.

Apraxia Evaluation and Therapy
Helps those with motor disorders to verbalize functionally and socially.

Dysathria Evaluation and Therapy
For those who are unable to coordinate oral motor movements, this program improves audible vocalizations.

Social Skills Club
The purpose of the Social Skills Club is to promote social and communication skills among participants, including introducing oneself, maintaining topic of conversion, working in a group, being a follower/leader, understanding body language/eye-contact, using appropriate vocal tone/level, understanding your emotions and more.
