Why Choose Hospice?
Hospice serves as an alternative choice of care giving when a
physical cure is no longer possible. Hospice care at Lima Memorial
is provided when:
While in our care, our patients'
wishes and the wishes of those close to them figure prominently in
all decisions. It is our goal to allow our patients to spend their
last days in comfort while making independent decisions.
Our team of compassionate
professionals will address our patients' physical, emotional,
psychological and spiritual needs. We provide services such as pain
management and symptom management.
Hospice care neither hastens death nor
prolongs life. Care beyond a cure is our focus.
Our patients' stay in hospice care
through our Hospice Care Partnership is typically short term - days
not weeks. The hospice care giver and the hospital staff will keep
our patients' and their family aware of all discharge
About Putman County Hospice
Putnam County Hospice was established
in 1996 with the dream of allowing our residents to spend their
last days at home among the people and things that they love.
Hospice recognizes the unique and individual needs of the
terminally ill patient and their family.
Our goal is to provide comfortable care, fostering an atmosphere
in which an individual can retain personal freedom and the ability
to make independent decisions. Hospice affirms life and neither
hastens death nor prolongs life. It allows one to live each day
fully and as alert and pain free as possible. We encourage the
celebration of life every day.
