Auxiliary Awards Local Students with Scholarships

posted on: 5/31/2016 10:38:50 AM

Each year the Lima Memorial Auxiliary awards two $1,500 scholarships to deserving, local students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field. This year's recipients are Aubreah Manns of Riverdale and Taylor Lesh of Lima.

The Lima Memorial Auxiliary trusts these students will one day be able to help us further influence the well-being of the people of our area. The Auxiliary also believes these scholarship donations are an investment for our community. These outstanding individuals will be able to make a difference in people’s lives through the profession they have chosen to pursue.

Aubreah Manns is a graduate from Riverdale High School and plans to attend the University of Findlay to pursue a career in nursing. Taylor Lesh is a graduate from Lima Senior High School and plans to pursue a career in pre-medicine/biology at Miami-Oxford University.

The Lima Memorial Auxiliary as well as the health system would like to congratulate these accomplished students and wish them the very best in the pursuit of their educational degrees.

Manns and Lesh will receive their scholarships on Thursday, June 2 at 1 p.m. in the Auxiliary Conference Center of Lima Memorial Health System. The recipients were selected from a group of more than 200 applicants by the Auxiliary Scholarship Selection Committee.

The LMHS Auxiliary currently has 320 active volunteers and donates approximately $100,000 each year to help support the Lima Memorial Foundation and other special projects.
