Girl Saves Brother After Near Drowning

Lima, Ohio - On Tuesday, July 3 at 1 p.m. Lima Memorial Health System (LMHS) will honor 11-year-old Shemya Hall in the Auxiliary Conference Center. Hall performed CPR on her 8-year-old brother after he nearly drowned in a motel swimming pool.

Representatives from the Allen County Sheriff's office suspect 8-year-old Jemiel jumped or fell into the deep end of the pool. Authorities say his sister performed CPR until the emergency medical crew arrived.

Jemiel was taken to LMHS where he was later transported via helicopter to Children's Medical Center in Dayton. He was released on Wednesday, June 27 and is back to normal according to a report from the Lima News.
