Rehabilitation at the YMCA

Lima Memorial Rehabilitation’s expert physical therapy staff works with patients at the Lima YMCA who have orthopaedic injuries, musculoskeletal problems or chronic pain through professional evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation.

The center offers a wide range of programs and facilities for specific therapies, including special equipment, pool therapy, and exercises and physical therapy programs to decrease pain associated with injury or dysfunction.

Programs at the YMCA Wellness Center

The following programs require a referral from your doctor: 

  • Parkinson's disease program to help delay the effects of the disease through exercise
  • Osteoporosis self-management exercise courses to help slow bone loss and other effects of osteoporosis
  • Balance training to improve walking and basic mobility skills for patients with neurological and/or balance problems
  • Work reconditioning exercise program for injured workers to rebuild skills, strength and stamina before returning to work

One Step Ahead

One Step Ahead is a personalized performance enhancement exercise program for high school athletes. This program is available by appointment − no doctor referral is needed. Call 419-226-5075 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
