Lima Memorial Health System is a leader in Northwest Ohio in
providing high quality, innovative health care that is based in a
family-centered environment. We were founded in 1899 as Lima City
Hospital by the citizens of the Lima community.
LMHS is a not-for-profit health care organization with 1,500
employees and 25 facilities in our ten-county service area in the
region. Our services include:
- An advanced Emergency Center and Level II Trauma Center;
- The Heart and Vascular Institute;
- Cycle III Accredited Chest Pain Center;
- The Cancer Institute;
- The Family Birth Center;
- Level II Neonatal Nursery as an extension of Toledo Children's
Hospital;
- The Women's Health Center;
- The Wellness Center;
- Pediatric care;
- Home Health Services and more.
We also offer an extended network of primary care, pediatric and
specialist physicians in our Lima Memorial Professional Corporation
(LMPC) group.
We are very focused on supporting the communities we serve
through countless community health education efforts including
health fairs, clinics and classes, community wellness days and
partnerships with other community-minded organizations. Each
year, Lima Memorial gives back to the region approximately $25
million in community benefit.
Lima Memorial is dedicated to providing the highest quality of
care to our patients. Because of this, we are constantly adding and
advancing our services through new construction, technologies and
education of our medical staff. We completed
a $30 million SPIRIT of Caring expansion project that included
renovating the patient tower to offer all private, soothing patient
suites and expanding our Heart and Vascular Institute.
We also recently completed the addition of The
Timmermeister Family Surgery Center. The center added 24,000 square
feet of space, for a total of six new state-of-the-art,
fully-equipped surgical suites.
Lima Memorial Health System is a partner with ProMedica Health
System.
